Welcome to the Kid Brands, Inc. web site, the premier home of a leading group of companies in the infant and juvenile products industry.
From the founding of the company by Mr. Russ Berrie in the early 1960s and also since its public offering in 1984, the company was known as Russ Berrie and Company, Inc. and it was a major leader in the global gift products industry. In 2002 the founder and CEO, Mr. Berrie, passed away. In 2008 the company acquired CoCaLo and LaJobi which it added to its Sassy and Kids Line businesses which were acquired in 2002 and 2005. Collectively these four sister businesses made the company a leader in the infant and juvenile products industry. At the end of 2008 the company fully transformed itself and divested its legacy gift business. Effective September 22, 2009 the company changed its name to Kid Brands, Inc. to better reflect its exclusive focus on the infant and juvenile industry. It also changed its NYSE ticker from RUS to KID effective September 23, 2009.

Who We Are
| Kid Brand's business is composed of four wholly-owned subsidiaries: Kids Line, LLC; LaJobi, Inc; Sassy, Inc.; and CoCaLo, Inc. serving parents, infants, and kids with great design led and branded proudcts globally. Through these subsidiaries, the Company designs and markets branded infant and juvenile products in a number of complementary categories including, among others: infant bedding and related nursery accessories and decor (Kids Line ® and CoCaLo ® ); nursery furniture and related products (LaJobi ® ); and developmental toys and feeding, bath and baby care items with features that address the various stages of an infant's early years (Sassy ® ). In addition to the Company's branded products, the Company also markets certain categories of products pursuant to various licenses, including Carter's ® , Disney ® , Graco ® and Serta ® . |
